Morgan's First Birthday

Half of Morgan’s family lives here in Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast and half live in Regina in Saskatchewan.

We flew to visit them for the first time and to celebrate her first birthday.  So for her first birthday, Morgan actually had two parties – not bad!

We flew via Westjet with our obligatory stop overs in Edmonton (going) and Calgary (returning).  We were able to get an extra seat for Morgan on all four flights, so Beth took the isle seat, I took the window seat, and Morgan was passed back and forth in the middle seat.

She is a great flying baby.  She didn’t seem to mind the ups and downs and REALLY liked the turbulence.  She made googoo eyes with EVERYONE and even had a lady playing peek-a-boo and other games on the way back.

It was great to see all of the Craig family; Morgan finally got to meet her cousins, Cole and Zoey, Aunt Susan and Uncle Shawn, Uncle Mike, Great Uncle Ken and Great Aunt Fiona, and Great Grandmother Marion.  She had a full week of going to the swimming pool, the local parks, the Saskatchewan Children’s Festival, the Science Center, shopping centers, restaurants, and a ton of other things.  She had her first dim sum in Saskatoon and her first hot banana pepper at Fudd Ruckers (loved it).

We now have to get her back into her proper sleep patterns and get her routine going again.

Morgan's First Birthday

Today Morgan celebrated her 1st Birthday with all of her family and friends on the Sunshine Coast.

We met at the Sechelt Aquatic Center for cupcakes, juice, and a swim.

With the one small oversight that babies and open flames don’t mix we had a great time!

She received some beautiful sun dresses and sun hats and some great summer toys.

After presents and a sugar rush, we all headed in for a swim and and a soak.

Thank you to everyone who helped make her day wonderful!

Morgan Lily Grace Lehmann Eleven Months Old

Somehow another month has slipped by!  Morgan has had some really big developments this month; probably the biggest being that she took her first steps!

**UPDATE**

Morgan just got back from a weigh-in and she is now at 21 lb’s and 7 oz and is 29.25″ long (!)

She is now wearing her 12-18 month clothes – yikes!

We had a absolutely wonderful family evening tonight.

Morgan and I went with Matthew to drop of a couple of computers to a customer.  Then we got a fabulous dinner at the Feastro Taco Truck in Davis Bay and went down to Roberts Creek Beach to eat.   Morgan had a feast.  She had her first taste of fish, shrimp, and lemon.  It goes without saying that she loved every bite.

After our awesome dinner we did a little bit of grocery shopping.  Daddy showed Morgan how to eat the produce before we have paid for it   We just couldn’t keep her out of the grapes.

When we got home we had another big first for Morgan.  She took her first unaided steps!!  Well, we did stand her up to get her to try to walk to Daddy, but she took the steps without holding on to anything!

We finished the evening with a nice bath (to get rid of all the leftover fish), and then off to Morgan’s room for a little bit of reading before off to bed.

All in all I think it was one of our best nights ever.

Morgan Lily Grace Lehmann Ten Months Old

So month 10 has now arrived!

Our sweet little Morgan has now been replaced by this little demon child who is getting into everything and tearing around the house.
