Well it looks like Morgan is sleeping thru the night finally.  We finally had had enough of getting up every hour and decided to just let her cry until she learned how to sleep.  We are all very thankful for the much more peaceful nights.

We have a few pictures of Morgan from the last week.  I really wanted to get a couple of videos online, but they don’t seem to want to upload, so we’ll try again in another post.

Playing with Grandma's Present

The last few nights we’ve had some pretty terrific winds (and I’m talking about more than Beth & her Indian Food).

Last night at about 5 in the morning we were awoken by a great crash outside… in the morning we discovered that the top 30′ of a cedar tree in our yard had split off and fallen on our sheds!

The sheds seem to have survived quite well (only two loosened shingles if you can believe it).  The main impact tore up our lawn and missed our deck by only a few inches.

The scary part was that the very tips of the upper branches missed Morgan’s window by only a foot or so…

We were very lucky.

So, now it’s time to talk to a tree removal crew… =)

Oh, on a completely different page, Morgan slept last night for a whopping 13 hours!  Apparently she is a storm-baby.

Today we went to West Coast Framers and had 7 items framed.  We have the beautiful original Gerhilde Stulken painting, a few left over Italy images, some original oil on canvas’s from my Aunt Irene, and 3 cross-stitch patterns that Beth’s grandmother made.  Can’t wait to see how they turn out.

We then headed to the Rockwater Resort to fix their CC handling system.

While we were there we decided to take a few pictures of Morgan on their boardwalk.  We’re pretty pleased with the results.

(the red cheeks are partially from the cold, crisp air, and partially from her teething).

Wow, what a month it has been!

Matthew managed to take a couple of weeks off for Christmas so we all had some great family time.

It’s hard to believe that 7 months have gone by.  Morgan is now 17 1/2 Lbs, and still 27″ long.

A few Firsts:

Christmas

Time getting on her hands and knees

Time sitting all on her own

Picture with Santa

Time eating turkey

Time brushing her non-existent teeth

Trip to the swimming pool

Time watching Christmas Story with Daddy (likely to be many more of this one)

Time babbling non-stop

No, it’s not sleeping thru the night :( (although she seems to be slightly better the last few days)

Today Morgan decided that she would take a big developmental leap by showing us she can sit on her own, and by showing us how she is getting ready for crawling!!
