It’s so hard to believe that 9 months have gone by.  Morgan is now 19 lbs 2.5 ozs and 28.5 inches long.  She’s getting to be such a big girl.

Morgan is getting to be a real handful now.  She wants things done her way right when she wants them.  We are starting to think that the idea of no diaper is not as silly anymore.  Morgan refuses to cooperate for diaper changes.  She now rolls over as soon as her diaper is undone.  Oh well, I guess she’s growing up!

Here are a few pictures:

A few Firsts:

Time in a high chair

Time going down a slide (Mom was still holding on)

Time in Jail (she now has her very own jail in the living room)

Time on the ground outside

Eating real people food

Feeding herself

Marathon crawl session (she can now go anywhere in the house on her own)

Crawling up the stairs

Taste of Beer (she absolutely loves beer, we have to be careful not to let her see it now)

Eating Fries

Time in a hot tub

Pulling up to standing

Cruising (well, it was one step, but she did do it)

Morgan has been up to alot of things since we last posted.

We went out over to her Great-Grandma’s for a nice visit and then out to lunch at Daphne’s.  It was the first time that Morgan sat in a high chair!  It was very exciting for all of us, and Mommy even got a chance to eat her lunch while it was hot!!

Unfortunately we have all been sick here.  We’ve been trying to take it pretty easy but we have managed to go out for a few family walks.  Morgan is generally very serious on our walks, which is the total opposite of how she normally is.

On the 20th we finally got a high chair.  It has been wonderful.  Morgan seems to really like it.  She has really taken to feeding herself.  This morning for breakfast she made the decision that it was to be only finger food.  No more of being fed ceral by Mommy!  She really seems to be getting the hang of it.

Morgan has also been learning how to stand.  Not on her own just yet, but she is constantly trying to get to her feet.  She has even done a little bit of standing holding on to furniture.  It’s all very exciting!

Well here we are and another month has gone by.  Morgan has now been out in the real world as long as I was pregnant!

I can’t believe how the time has flown.  Morgan has been such a joy, especially now that she is laughing up a storm at anything and everything.

We have had a very major triumph this month.  We are all finally sleeping!!! Of course as I say this Morgan has a cold and her sleep has been slightly upset these last few nights, but she really is sleeping.

Matthew and I finally put up her growth chart.  It’s really amazing to see the change in heights over the last 8 months.

Here are a few pictures taken in the last week:

A few Firsts:

Sleeping through the night

Time eating mashed potatoes

Time wearing size 12 month clothes

Time eating Indian food (no to Vindaloo, yes to Butter Chicken and Daal)

Sitting up from crawling

Cold

Fight with another baby

Crawling

Olympic event

Prize won (she won a little book and bib at the birthday party for babies born in 2009)

Time eating a tomato (she loves them, she sucks out the insides and begs for more)

This morning we took Morgan to the Olympic Torch Relay event in Sechelt.  What an experience!  There was lots to see and lots to hear.  Morgan received her very first Canada Flag which she loved chewing on the whole time.  She also got a great RBC tambourine that now seems to be her favorite toy.

It was a great little bit of family time to start off the day on Matthew’s 33rd birthday.  With all of that excitement Morgan was pretty wiped at the end.

We finished off the evening with homemade onion rings and beef ribs (don’t forget the all important chocolate cake!).

We had a great day all around!
