The Norman B. Keevil Institute of Mining Engineering gets a new logo.
This new corporate savvy design updates the look of the NBK image, while still paying homage to their historical roots.
The challenge in this design was to incorporate the traditional feel of mining with it's new, updated image... (and also to include the enormous amount of text that is required in the NBK TM).
The top red geometrics represent a mountain while the bottom one represents a mine... and for those that are looking for the alternative interpretation, the entire logo can be seen as a stylized pick-axe.
